Being a Radio Jockey - sound lecture 5
I always wanted to
try out being a Bollywood Radio jockey (R.J). I would love the way they would
speak, and interact with Bollywood stars. If given a chance I would definitely
go for it. Radio is very different from television and videos, in a way it is
more attentive than these two. Radio is a great source of entertainment, and
also one of the oldest.
The sound lecture was
an educational and fascinating lecture. There were two main speakers Richard
Fidler and Steve Austin from ABC Local radio, interviewed by Caroline. They
expressed their views and their opinion on this median.
According to Richard,
radio is a median, which creates interactivity, and is a great way to connect
people. He feels conversations are a great way to bring out great stories. The
person might not be a celebrity, but conversation can bring out amazing
moments. That is getting a person’s whole life in an hour. Interviews on radio
are far more different than on television.
Another speaker was
Steve Austin, who gave great insights about radio. He views radio as a very strong
median, and feels that human experiences, their adventures and journeys, make
the best of radio. Also he said that, if anybody acted fake, it could be known very easily.
It was a great
experience for me, to hear them speaking. This lecture was quite resourceful
and informative for me. I love listening to radio, it’s a great source of
entertainment and can be accessed anywhere.
Thank you
