JOUR 1111 Annotated Bibliography

“It is a truism often repeated that good journalism should aim to afflict the comfortable and comfort the afflicted”(Finkelstein, D., 2012). Journalism is the link between the public and the media, through its different forms of media; it connects the world and creates awareness among audiences. This annotated bibliography is based on the 2012 NATO summit agreement and how different media forms have presented it. I have analyzed three mediums: Television, Blog post and online news article.

reporter, through the exemplars of two legendary 20th century journalists, Anthony Sampson and Seymour Hersh.Through the exemplars, the author tries to notify that how political journalism is applied to the political power, the multinational corporations and all the factors, which shape up a country’s economy and its posterity. It shows the work and experiences of the British journalist Anthony Sampson; mainly portraying the goal of Sampson’s work that is bridging the gap between the readers and the subject of the news. The article explored the work of Hersh, his commitment and his curiosity of digging out the reality of all sorts of political issues. This form of political journalism is known as an Investigative journalism, which author tries to explain through the biographies of these political journalists, also one of the significant key point, expressed by author was their art of being a quiet and a patient listener, which as a journalist made them quite approachable and easy-to-talk.
