The Beginning

My mind is blank, and i am still staring at my laptop screen, don't know what to write, how to began? i thought writing blog would be much easier and fun. Indeed it is, no doubt, but still i need to think better.Alright!! mass media has made a big stand in the lives of people, with the advent of journalism, this world seems a smaller place.

Truly said by Philip Graham, journalism is the first rough draft of history, i never thought that this would be so interesting and exciting, till i graduated from my high school i never had even thought of studying journalism. Sitting in a dim light lecture room, thinking its just gonna be the same boring thing studying with lecture notes, half the time day dreaming, and then waiting eagerly for it to finish.

But there came a start with the course philosophy "you are the journalist" something which made me listen, my first lecture of the day and i was listening, i was liking it. So much to do, but a lot to learn, to cultivate and to grab up the best. one of my favourite quotes from the lecture slides was by Henry Anatole Grunwald - 

"Journalism can never be silent: that is its greatest virtue and its greatest fault. It must speak, and speak immediately, while the echoes of wonder, the claims of triumph and the signs of horror are still in the air."

In the end i would like to say a good journalist is just not energetic or enthusiastic, but the one with a positive " I can do " attitude, and i aspire to be one someday.
